NYCC Booth Mockup

MetaZoo has released a mock-up for the New York City Comic-Con Booth! The booth will consist of two stories and contain an area for artists to do signings behind a counter. Behind the artist’s area is a familiar sight; There is going to be another Seance tent! This time the tent is enclosed on three of the four sides. This is a valuable lesson learned from the Long Beach Collect-a-con, where the tent was constructed from a pop-up tent. Eventgoers at Long Beach were trying to steal the tarot cards from the card reader by reaching under the sides of the tent.

The upper story of the Seance Booth depicts a large Seance crystal ball, so it will be very easy to find the MetaZoo booth. Alongside the mock-up, Andy Mourat said “And yes, it glows.” followed by an emoji of the Seance crystal ball. It is unclear exactly what is going to be glowing, however, I imagine it is going to be the sign on the second story of the booth, making it even more evident where to find MetaZoo.

If there is one thing that we know about NYCC and MetaZoo, it’s that there is going to be a lot of partnerships present and a lot of new products available at New York City Comic Con. NYCC will be our first chance to purchase the red-bordered tarot cards. They will be first available through a partnership with eBay Live, so if you’re looking forward to the tarot cards, be ready during the New York Comic-Con event! We also know that the MetaZoo plushies are going to be available for the first time at New York Comic Con. We got a look at two of the finalized versions of the plushies this week with the Piasa Bird and Mothman Plushies.

New York City Comic Con will have nine promos, some of which we are seeing for the first time this week. The PSA promo, depicted with a Golden Bear; The What’s Your Passion promo with Andy’s signature Chaos, and the Pin Club promo featuring the Bunnyman. There are many other MetaZoo partners that are going to be at New York Comic Con, so what could some of the other artifact stamps be? If I had to guess, I would bet on Funko, Invasion Toys, a New York City Comic-Con promo, and eBay Live making appearances as Artifact Stamp promos, among many other possibilities.
