What’s Your Passion Releases End of September

It was announced that the MetaZoo collaboration with What’s Your Passion will release at the end of September. The lineup includes pendants made from 92.5% silver or 18 karat gold. A number of the pendants have been shown including Piasa Bird, Flatwoods Monster, Loveland Frogman, Mothman, and most recently Babe the Blue Ox and Hoop Snake.

Alongside the announcement of the Babe the Blue Ox and Hoop Snake pendants, MetaZoo has also shown the Artifact promos that will be distributed with the What’s Your Passion jewelry. There will be a silver and a gold artifact promo, which is likely going to be distributed with silver and gold pendants respectively. To be able to activate the abilities of the promo cards, the caster will need to be wearing silver and gold jewelry, depending on the promo card.

What’s Your Passion Promos

Silver Passion is a one-drop neutral Artifact that, when fatigued, allows the caster to choose to recover 25 Life Points to target caster or beastie. The Artifact itself has 50 life points, making it about as easy to remove as something like an Artifact Essence.

Gold Passion is a bit more powerful with a cost of two neutral Aura. This Artifact allows the caster to choose a target beastie or caster to regain 50 life points. Coming in at 75 Life Points for this Artifact, it will be much harder to remove from the battlefield.

The Passion Artifacts do not have Fleet, so when they enter the battlefield the caster will be able to use the powers right away. The Artifacts are going to be vulnerable for one turn, and then on the caster’s next turn, they will be able to use the healing ability of the Artifact. It will be easy for an opponent to decide to take these artifacts out of the battlefield before the caster can start recovering Life Points. There are a few options, however. The caster could use Magic Enginee’s Oil to awaken a Passion Artifact right away! A caster may also contract these artifacts as a distraction, expecting to lose it, but saving other beasties from their inevitable demise. If the opponent decides not to destroy the artifact, the caster can start recovering some Life Points next turn.

I am excited to have these artifacts in hand since, if you can keep them on the battlefield, they provide a way for any spellbook to gain life points back every turn. It is still unclear if the What’s Your Passion release is going to be a blind box or if we are going to be able to choose the pendant that we want to buy.
